Insurance jobs in the automotive sector

Posted by admin 0 comments

Insurance is synonymous with the automotive sector here in the UK. You cannot drive a car without insurance – it is illegal. As of 2009, there were over 30 million car registered in the UK, so it should be no surprise that the auto insurance industry is a healthy market to be in. With massive insurers all vying for British consumers business, one would expect that the insurance jobs market in the sector to be alright. And it is, with most of the job types going to customer call centers, auto – insurance sales, actuaries, account managers, statisticians, all finding themselves jobs with the massive insurers. Insurance jobs in general are just healthy in terms of recruitment, despite the number of natural disasters seen in the world over the last 5 years. Insurance jobs will continue to get more complex as adverse weather forecasts predict a tough time for many industry sectors including farming, construction, tourism – man in general.

With the likelihood of claims to go up and the level of claims to go up – the job of the insurer is going to get harder, as insurance companies try to either mitigate the risk through increased premiums, become less profitable, or clients take the risk on themselves and discontinue using insurance to protect their businesses, products or whatever. Whilst this may not be the immediate future, it certainly looks like the insurance industry is in for a tough time as mother nature comes home to roost.
